Our History

Springvale Foods Ltd was founded in April 1993 by Tim Goody along with his father Graham at a small barn in Combs Ford near Stowmarket. They would oversee everything from looking after customers, taking orders, answering phone calls, settling accounts, picking and packing deliveries, sharing delivery runs and replenishing stock.

Throughout the 90’s our customer base grew significantly and to fulfil our customers’ needs we recruited more staff and moved premises in October 1996 to Howard Street in Ipswich. Eight years later having outgrown our premises in Howard St, we moved again in September 2003 to our current warehouse and offices where several changes and improvements have taken place since.

In January 2015, we acquired Mercia Fine Foods which was a very exciting time for us. We are now a strong team of over 25 staff with offices in Ipswich, Sheffield and Worcester.

Where we are today is through Tim and Graham’s passion, determination, love for fine foods and personal touch. This is still very much the ethos we hold to today.
